My Trip To Kovallam

We were planning to go on a trip on Friday. We decided to go to Palmshore an Abad Group Hotel at Kovalam. When my father went to take money from the ATM, he could not get it because there was some network problem. So we could not go. We kids were so sad, that father promised another trip on the next Sunday.

On Sunday, after church we took the car to Kovalam. We reached the beach at about 11am and we went straight to the end of first beach where the mosque and a set of shops are there. We parked the car and embarked to the sea shore. All of us played with the waves for about half hour, and we felt the sun was too hot.

We left the place at about 12 ‘o clock and drove up where we found a hotel, which was an old house converted. Father asked the caretaker whether they could provide lunch for the bunch. The caretaker was glad to offer us a pool side arrangement. Though I really wanted to enter the pool, my father and mother did not permit us kids to do so because of the sun. Also the pool was being cleaned cause it was off season.

I would prefer paratha and chicken for all my course, breakfast lunch and dinner. But my father insisted that we have sea food with ordinary meals. Reluctantly I was forced to agree. Mother estimated and asked the caretaker to arrange four set of meals with three set of fried fish. We had our lunch and spent around one hour there, when as usual my father got a call from his office regarding some client requirement. He was so worried and confused that we had to rush back.

We reached home in about half an hour and though the trip was cut short because of the official call, it was a pleasure trip for me.
